Shinmei Elementary School is located in the southwestern part of Shinmei Tribe, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. Surrounded by a unique natural environment, the school fosters students' environmental identity by exploring the ecological wisdom of indigenous peoples living in harmony with nature. This approach also nurtures students' adventurous spirit and determination to take on challenges.

I.Tsou Culture
The Tsou people have a rich cultural heritage, with distinctive traditions such as the age-grade promotion ceremony, seasonal festivals, mythology, hunting, fishing, cuisine, and arts.
Through educational programs and activities, the school highlights the tribe's commitment to ecological conservation and coexistence, helping students develop a strong sense of local identity, ethnic consciousness, and global perspective.

II.School Vision & Key Objectives
Vision of Shinmei Elementary School,"Learning from nature and following the rhythms of time", we aim to cultivate well-rounded “Tsou-some” (excellent Tsou) children who uphold discipline and tradition.

Key Goals of Shinmei Elementary School
Establish a school farm where students can gain hands-on farming experience, emphasize food safety, and learn gratitude and appreciation.
Develop school-based curricula to promote Tsou culture, local industries, and educational materials on agriculture, fishing, and hunting.
Explore and understand local industries and culture, fostering creativity to support sustainable community development.
Create a distinctive campus environment, beautifying unused spaces to inspire creativity and cultivate students' aesthetic appreciation.
Raise awareness of local environmental and industrial challenges, encouraging students to take action in problem-solving.
Promote Tsou culture to a wider audience, showcasing its beauty and uniqueness to the world.
