The school provides an array of heterogeneous sports activities for the budding sports persons. These include Table Tennis, Karate, Yoga, Wushu, Shooting,Roller Skating, Badminton, Athletics,Taekwondo, Jump Rope, Gymnastics, Chess, Judo, Aerobics, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Football, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball etc. In recognition of our achievements in sports, 'CBSE Sports Promotion Award' was conferred on the school. Students of the school have won 'National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement' and 'CBSE Chacha Nehru Sports Award' along with scholarships for notable achievements.
2. Focusing on mental health
Besides providing a conglomeration of various sports and games for the physical robustness of the students, the school also has the provision of a spacious, aesthetically designed and well-stocked resource centre, as it is well said-"Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." This favourite retreat of knowledge-seekers has more than 34000 books, 10 newspapers and 22 periodicals (magazines and journals) to cater to the requirements of all age groups.

5. Virtual Learning -
The sudden outbreak of "COVID-19 pandemic created havoc everywhere in the world. Due to lockdown imposed for an uncertain period of time, life came to a standstill. The schools were forcefully shut down thereby causing a huge loss of education for the student community. But DAV International School made every possible effort to enable the students to avail this adverse situation fruitfully. Regular online classes as well as co-curricular activities enabled the children to utilise this lockdown period optimally.
6. Sculpting Rough & Tough Juveniles -
NCC infantry was introduced in September 2008. It imparts training in Drill, Firing and Social Service in addition to various adventure sports like mountaineering, hiking, trekking, cycling, rafting, sailing and Para-gliding. The school offers NCC to shape some gallant spirits who can later serve the nation dauntlessly.

To educate and aware the general public about social evils, the school organises rallies and marches on important days like Rishi Bodh Utsav, Diwali, Van Mahotsav, etc.
9. School's Samaritan Spirit
To bring positive change in the lives of under-privileged and to help them join the mainstream, the school runs two community welfare projects; namely Nav-Prerna and Nay-Chetna under the edifice named 'UMANG' inaugurated by Arya Ratan Dr. Punam Suri Ji, Padma Shri Awardee, President, DAV CMC, New Delhi. Nav-Prerna, a school run by DAVIS, provides education to children from disadvantaged strata of society. The school also takes good care of their health by providing them nourishing diet and organizing regular health check-ups and medical camps.

To keep ourselves abreast of the latest developments in pedagogy, we organize seminars/ workshops/ conferences/ lectures. In addition to the workshops conducted by CBSE and Performance Enhancement Programmes of DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, New Delhi, the school also conducts other Enrichment Activities for the staff.

15. The SCHOLASTIC Realm
Punjabi is introduced from Grade - I * Two languages, besides English, form part of the curriculum till class VIII. * EVS (Environmental Studies) is taught in Grades I & II which later gets changed into Science and Social Science from class III onwards. * Activity subjects like Dance, Drama, Music, Drawing, Yoga and Computer are also introduced from the Pre-Primary level.

School Transportation
The school does not own any transport. The parents are responsible for making arrangement of trans their wards. A private vehicle can be hired by contacting the private vehicle operators, keeping in mind "Safe School Vahan Scheme" of the government specially implemented for the safety of school children. The school authorities are very strict with regard to the implementation of the above said scheme and have even banned defaulting transporters.
