PHJH was founded in 1964. After more than half a century of development, it has become a place where students enjoy creative and inspiring learning experiences. PHJH is renowned for its excellent facilities and passionate teachers. In 2019, we established our Maker Education and Technology Center. This center not only provides students with an innovative way of learning but also a space to practice hands-on skills. In addition, we integrate VR technology into our lessons, enabling students to have immersive learning experiences.

Our school is located in Taichung City, in central Taiwan. We have 140 teachers and 1,518 students, ranging in age from 13 to 15. PHJH is a coeducational school.
To broaden our students’ global perspectives and prepare them for active citizenship, we incorporate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our curriculum. We have also engaged in several international exchange programs. For example, we have conducted synchronous online meetings with students from Singapore, where they not only shared reading lessons together but also engaged in meaningful discussions. This semester, we carried out an exchange project with Pretoria Chinese School in South Africa. The first phase was a self-introduction activity via Google Classroom, and further discussions on SDG-related issues are being planned. Through these exchanges, our students have the opportunity to explore diverse perspectives, share ideas, and brainstorm with peers from around the world.
Looking ahead, PHJH is committed to providing students with diverse international learning opportunities in the post-pandemic world. We look forward to building more connections and communication with global partners.
