Kanagawa Prefectural Yokohama Senior High School of International Studies is a public high school established in April, 2008. We encourage our students to become self-reliant world citizens so that they can play an active role in the future as leaders not only in Japan but also throughout the world. In 2015, Kanagawa Prefectural Yokohama Senior High School of International Studies was designated as one of the Super Global High Schools (SGH schools) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). We foster students’ basic academic skills through variety of learning experiences, such as English proficiency test TOEFL-ITP, special tutoring sessions, and mock examinations. We have built a School Partnership with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS). We were authorized as IB World School for IB Diploma Programme by the International Baccalaureate Organization in February, 2019. We have been offering a new course (International Baccalaureate Course) since April, 2019.
