High School Climate Action Online Forum Regulations

Event Purpose:
This event aims to encourage the participation of the new generation in international sustainability issues, promote correct knowledge and understanding of climate change-related issues, raise students' international awareness of climate action, and provide an opportunity for teachers to share their SDGs-related teaching experiences and professional curriculum practices.

Designated Topics:
The theme of this forum is based on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13. Please choose ONE of the following two designated topics to create your own presentation title:
  1. Topic 1
  2. Given the challenges posed by climate change in your country (natural disasters like water scarcity, power outages, heavy rain, landslides, etc.) Please explain the solutions implemented by the government or enterprises. Analyze this case, and then propose a personal perspectives and suggestions.

  4. Given the challenges posed by climate change in your country (natural disasters like water scarcity, power outages, heavy rain, landslides, etc.) Please explain the solutions implemented by the community or schools. Analyze this case, and then propose a personal perspectives and suggestions.

  • Personnel from 26 mission schools of the International Education Resource Center (IERC)
Registration Method:
Please register online through the Google registration form
before May 30, 2023 5pm (UTC +8).
After confirming the identity, the organizer will send an email with a link to the Google Meet.

Online Awards:
In an effort to incentivize students to share their personal perspectives on climate change, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology will distribute digital certificates to acknowledge those who have been awarded.
Names of Award Description
Best Intelligence Award   The team with the most intelligent performance for each response on site.
Best Cooperation Award  

The domestic and international team with the best overall spirit

(including costume) performance.

Best Creative Award   The most creative domestic and international team for the presentation.
Best Expression Award   For domestic and international teams with the best English speaking and presentation skills.
Best Academic Award   For domestic and international teams, who present the most in-depth topics.
Best Sustainability Award   For domestic and international teams presenting topics that most closely match the SDGs 13.
Outstanding Mentor Award   School Mentor of the Best Sustainability Team
